A few quick reminders!
It’s that time of year again! Be sure to summarize your 2024 OSHA 300 Log using the OSHA 300A document. This is a perfect time to review your recordables – and first aid – injuries, illnesses, and near miss incidents.
- As part of your safety program, assess patterns and solutions with a team of managers and employees.
- Present the information to your executive team. They need to understand the issues since they foster the culture for safety. Plus, the top executive onsite must sign the summary before posting.
The log and summary need to be maintained and made available to OSHA representatives upon request, as well as to any employees requesting a copy. Remember that you may be required to electronically submit your injury and illness data once per year to OSHA from your,
- OSHA 300 Log of Work-Related Recordable Injuries and Illnesses,
- OSHA Form 300A Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses, and
- OSHA 301 Injury and Illness Incident Report (or equivalent form).
Below is a link that provides requirements and guidance regarding electronically submitting the data as well as a secure link for data submission.
