Time For OSHA Recordkeeping Requirements!

Just a reminder to Complete, Summarize, Post, and File your 2025 OSHA 300 Log and 300A Summary.  If you are required to submit yours, OSHA opened injury and illness data submission on January 2nd. Click this link ITA Coverage Application to help determine whether you are required to submit the data or not.

Every year there are recordkeeping violations found. Please review the recordkeeping requirements. We are happy to answer questions!  First, take the time to review your 2025 Log to make sure only recordable cases are documented. You don’t want to under-report nor over-report incidents. So, in addition, here are suggestions to consider for your Safety Program – and yes, recordkeeping compliance. Be sure to,

  • Confirm that all incidents have been investigated and corrective action taken.
  • Involve your Safety Committee/Team and Leadership in reviewing the data for patterns to determine the best preventive actions.
  • Ensure that the OSHA 300A Summary is reviewed and signed by the most senior leader at your facility.
  • Post the 300A Summary in an accessible area for employees to see it. Post the summary from February 1st through May 1st, 2026.
  • Maintain the OSHA 300 Log and OSHA 300A Summary for 5 years (2030). Update the Log as needed.
  • Consider offering Hazard Identification and Mitigation sessions for Managers, the Safety Team, and all Leads.
  • Offer Incident Investigation sessions using a ‘Just Culture’ frame, for all managers and all involved in preventing future incidents.

In the past Dimensions has offered free Recordkeeping workshops via Zoom.  We are happy to consider doing so soon based on interest. Please contact us by phone, email, or web contact to let us know if this would be beneficial: Contact Us We’ll keep you informed if the workshop is scheduled!
